the boos will reign down pre-game..... and I predict a loss or disappointing draw that will have them reign down even harder post game.

PPL draw factory will cycle again. Road losses, home draws. Hacktics.

It's a shame that the reception Hackworth will receive will probably overshadow the Eric Shertz memorial/celebration stuff.

Almost wish they fire him midweek to avoid it.

So @celt1997 would get his wish tomorrow when Hack's presser is conducted by a "Union official"?

isn't everyone's wish? To be quickly deflated by Rob V's announcement.

I don't see us winning (except maybe against Chivas at the end of May) before the WC break. At least this match might give Eddie Johnson a chance to get back to scoring before the WC camp (assuming he made the roster).

I just wish we could see Hackworth actually trying some changes with his line up and his system in order to impact the dynamic of the team. If he doesn't, the only impact I can see going forward with this core would have to be by his sacking. Here's a team I'd like him to try:

    ------------------McMath-----------------
    Williams----Okugo-----Berry-----Gaddis
    Cruz-------Nogueira-----Edu---Maidana
    -------------Le Toux----Wenger-----------

    Not holding my breath though...

Cruz? Then who would you sub Cruz out for in the 18th minute when he goes head first into something/someone?

Hoppenot, of course. But then who would we sub in once, Floppenot gets a red for diving?

You forgot to say "rinse and repeat".

I feel like I'm writing Hack's excuses but there is no reason to expect a victory with DC 3 points ahead of us with 2 fewer games played.

    I still need a haircut.

Might as well pony up your own hard earned cash for that haircut. This team has a difficult enough time scoring one goal, let alone finding a way or players for that matter to score 3 in a single match.

Someone in the coaching staff should teach Cruz how to manage his effort through the game. He has the tools to be a useful player. Just a shame we don't have any other true right midfielder. Pfeffer maybe, Williams or even Bone (why did they get him if he's not even coming off the bench?).

Hoppenot is not a winger despite what's Hackworth is trying to do with him. Like McInerney before, he's a center forward that could be useful in a 4-4-2 with a target striker alongside him, but he has no true value and just can't be efficient with the current system. Not the only misused player though...

I'd have to imagine loss = firing. Or am I way off here?

We'll lose to Chivas if Hack is the coach. Erick Torres is one of the most consistent goalscorers in the league. He's all but guaranteed to put a goal in against us. I don't think our attacking impotency can end with these players.

If I was manager, I'd recall Jimmy McLaughlin who has been playing well. He offers a ******** of a lot more than Bone. I don't mind Fabinho playing on the left with Maidana on the right. Pfeff can also play there.

Either this game or the next game. I'm standing tight with my 3 game prediction. The hot seat article would suggest there is public recognition of discontent.

Honestly the outcry would be too big to ignore if the Union get nothing else but a win this saturday.

For the first time, I feel a win. No rationale other than DC has a lot of flaws like the Union.

It's too bad this geographic MLS neighbor has never really taken off in terms of a rivalry.
