I don't think there is a transfer thread open, so I'll post this here. Onda Cero reported last night that Real Madrid have 'put things in motion' to acquire Radamel Falcao next summer. This allegedly means that we've told his agent (Jorge Mendes!!) that we will pay his release clause. HOWEVER, separate sources indicate that this is not true and that a deal is already in place via which Falcao could end up in the EPL during the winter transfer window. It is believed that a deal is done, explaining why Atleti have publicly commented on how money for Falcao would solve their economic problems. The alleged interest from Real Madrid is believed to be nothing more than rumors started by Atleti management so they can eventually say to their fans: 'we had to do this in order to keep him from ending up at Real Madrid.' These same sources suggest that we are indeed looking to a sign a Colombian striker next summer... Porto's James Rodriguez. Transfer rumor mill getting going in October! Nice.
