I think it' too premature to say we need to try him out with the NT.

He was born in Mexico, he seems to be scoring goals, he seems as a decent player and all but... he's only been playing in 2nd division for a few months, let alone 1st division experience.(though Spanish 2da is better than were some of our players are playing.)

If in 6 months he's still scoring goals and doing good then definitely it wouldn't hurt to try him out.

The guy is getting old though....cap him now when we're only playing friendlies just to see what he's got. If he's good keep calling him. This can also give players like Chicharo a break. Chicharo has been playing almost non-stop for two years and a half now.....

I'm with you guys. Cap him, Jona, Fabian, Nery and if Chepo actually wants to go out on a limb, Vela too.

I'm gonna be super pissed if they set up one stupid friendly against Honduras/Guatemala or some shitty NT team and Chicharo or another main player gets hurt there.

I dont know ANYONE who can sing the Mexican national anthem from beginning to end. I'm willing to bet US$100 you can't either (without Wikiing it!). My Spanish is excellent and there are like 20 words in there I've NEVER heard used.

LOL I didn't say from beginning to end. And you'd be surprised how much of the National anthem I know. I've read the lyrics countless times and though I've not used every single word in everyday speech I know what all of them mean. If you don't that's on you.

Anyway, what I said in my other post I said jokingly. But I do need to see the guy be proud of wearing and playing for El Tri. Si no, si es solo un mercenario.

Cap him, give him a chance.

I agree with the fact that he's not getting younger, but he's still younger than De Nigris. I just think it's too premature to say he's a better player than what we have in Mexico when he's only been playing in 2nd division for a few months. I mean, we don't know how he'll react when playing teams like Sevilla, Valencia, Barca, etc... will he continue to play like he has or will he choke??

Aníbal (and Ulises Dávila) played the whole game against Girona today. The game ended in a 0-0 tie.

P.S. This thread needs to be renamed.
