The same "jhernandez86" you regularly discredit when he dares disagree with you?

I certainly put much more credence in his postings than yours, Ollie. He's man enough to post while not hiding behind a sock puppet.

What happened today is simply a result of the kickoff time change for the Montpellier v Marseille match. Although, its not like the kickoff time changed yesterday...its been a few days.

There are no other sources for their programming that I can find. The DirecTV guide seems to be the most reliable when it comes to last minute changes.

One thing that concerns me (and its a concern only for me because I prefer Serie A over Ligue 1 with all due respect to Ligue 1 fans) is that I believe we can place PSG right behind Real Madrid and Barcelona when it comes to BeIn's priority list. In other words, PSG matches will take precedence over Serie A matches. Perhaps not a Milan derby, for example, but enough to make Serie A fans even more frustrated than I posted earlier. Live Serie A will only take place when Barcelona, Real or PSG are not playing. All those 2:45pm Italian kickoffs next Sunday don't stand a chance of being live. The best we can hope for is BeIn-ñ going HD in the near future but they are in cue behind ESPN Deportes and Fox Deportes. In other words, don't hold your breath.

Ollie, does have some good info, but the problem is when he goes off these weird tangents. The beIN/Comcast conspiracy never made sence, but he keep going that route as if someone really was going to listen to it.

Missing apples and oranges never make sense unless you have no clue of what you want to program.

And you do not have to be an industry insider to know all the corruption that goes on in Latam. The first time I encounter all this dealing, I was told to go along with it, since this is a common practice in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil as well as every other operator and programmer in the region.

Now try to convince the British that this is the norm.......by the way, this is an inside joke, and I am the only one laughing.

Now, my wife only allows me to see two games during the weekend, so I choose Manchester City vs. Liverpool, and my Barsa vs Osasuna. Normaly, I turn down the radio to hear Carrusel deportivo from Cadena Ser in Spain, but the delay on beIN is about a full 30 seconds, so here we are watching the game, and the announcer is already calling a gol 3o full seconds ahead of the live fee.

Normally is the other way around, and my iphone is 12 to 15 seconds delay, but I can deal with that.

I can not complain about the image since I am only getting SD, but something is better than nothing.

Now, olive made the claim that La liga only has two good games and both Barcelona and Real Madrid are the protagonist. But did you see Valencia vs La Coruna? no unless you have directv.

Which leads to the other big issue: Too many leagues for just one network. Must of us were not able to see Live Serie A.

beIN needs to sublicense some games out. However, this makes too much sense, and you already have an Idea how beIN feels about common sense.

And that goes back to my thoughts that they have no clue on what they are doing. I think they are piecing things together as they go along. It is not run like a business. You can't tell me they can't find advertisers for their channel. Probably because they have no one to run that department. They put the cart before the horse. Yes, the bought the rights to La Liga, Serie A and Ligue1 before securing any deals with carriers. They got some on the last minute but had to pay. My biggest concern is that they will go to PPV to spread out games. For me, I am glad RAI got their act together in the last minute.

I've lurked in these threads, didn't he predict Terry Leigh, that Honduran chick and told everyone with Directv not to panic right? That they'd have the deal first? That dude takes a beating. I'm not up on everything though so I'll fck off outta' here before I get something started....

However, in The United States of America, any type of illegal activity or suspicion will land you on a FCC investigation. So this argument may not hold much water due to the fact that loosing a broadcast license in counter intuitive.

I'm not sure the FCC has jurisdiction over cable and satellite channels. Now, there may be other laws at work.

    About the FCC
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 and is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. The FCC's jurisdiction covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions.

The regulating authority of the FCC is not the same with cable/satellite as it is with on air. For instance, BeIN was just created. It did not go through the FCC for approval. It is not a local or national network which has to get a license through the FCC to air. Illegal activity may land them somewhere, most likely with the US Attorney Office.

Rafa Uncein was calling the Palermo v Napoli game. I missed that guy. One of my fav guys to call a game by himself. I know it kinda sucks they had Serie A on delay today, but I do give them props for showing a bunch of delayed games tonight and through until tomorrow morning.

They were using the international audio feed for the Milan vs Sampdoria game and it was much appreciated.

I hope Bein hire Christian "Kneepads" Miles and Brian Dunseth!! That would make one heck of a broadcast team!!:p

Stranger and stranger....if you're going to use a fake alias(es) - a bit of advice: don't use the same language and prose style as your original screenname. What Oliver is doing is the equivalent of putting on a fake moustache and glasses in thinking everyone won't recognize him.

but why? It is entertaining, but really weird...........so weird, that we are not longer talking about beIN and how long will it take to make it on TWC in Los Angeles. By the way TWC SPORTHD will be here in LA on October 1, 2012 and there is also a Spanish version which I am so curios to know if is only going to be Dodgers and Lakers in Spanish or they are going to acquire some International Futbol rights.

I believe that all Mexican league rights are either on Univison or Azteca tv.

beIN needs to sub-license some of their rights. Ligue 1, Serie A and La liga will be playing too many important games at the same time.
