He is a playmaker. Saw him play against Haiti, and gave him great reviews (look for them on these pages). He has great control of his left foot and reads the game well (that nite he made 2 long passes from side to side that clearly prove his accuracy and vision). Chavez won't be used as a playmaker, but as a side midfielder (right or left), looking to join the other playmaker ... but with more defensive duties as he has the strength to go back and forth. I would like to see Chavez as a mediapunta .. even thou the DT thinks he is not a forward. He is very similar to Tevez in a lot of ways ...
