Half time at the moment, current score is 1-1, Walcott opened the scoring for them after 20 minutes, Ba equalised courtesy of a free kick that deflected off Wilshere's head shortly before half time.

Howay the lads for the second half.

Oxlade-Chamberlain puts Arsenal ahead, Marveaux pulls us level, Podolski puts Arsenal 3-2 up.

    Ba pulls us level again!

Walcott puts Arsenal 4-3 up. I'm sick of that scoreline.

Giroud adds another couple, 6-3 down. Scored 6 over Christmas, conceded 10. New signings on Tuesday please.

Walcott completes his hat trick, 7-3. It's hard to describe just how bad that defending was.

Sell Tiote, buy defenders. Lord knows we won't get any money from the FCB.

We've earned six points from our last 10 games. And those were against QPR and 10-man Wigan.

Well I see a definite pattern appearing: We either play defensive long ball, and lose 1-0 or tie; or we play open, on the deck passing and score loads of goals and lose by more.

We have been found out since last season and teams now know how to play against us. It's not rocket science that we are lacking in quite a few areas and thats where the pressure gets applied. Thats what bothers me: it doesnt take rocket science to beat us. It's a lot like hitting the ball to the kid with the baseball glove on the wrong hand...

I honestly think Pardew is out of ideas and doesn't know how to handle the perfect storm swirling about the club. I'm really getting the feeling he can't handle it

Ba's attempted murder of Wilshere in the first half went in to the back of the net.

I might buy this. His excuses are getting old. "We were more than a match for 70 minutes and then we ran out of gas."

If I may, AP, that's what happens when you don't buy the reinforcements you already need and then you have so many injuries that my dead grandmothers could name the team you have to roll out there game after game.

This is all out of failure to plan/invest/etc. We're lucky Reading/Villa/QPR are so dire or we'd be in serious trouble.

It's not like they're not gonna buy players in the window. And they're probably not going to lose their top scorer.

    Thx,

    Jay!

I'd also like to add that the failure to invest isn't his problem; and there are very few managers could handle this situation, he isn't one of them.

Starting Wednesday the pucker factor will begin to shrink. If we lose Ba and not get a suitable replacement and we a lack a few defensive up grades, both in players, motivation and coaching, the return of our injured contingent won't matter much at all.

In medical terms we are septic, and basically at the mercy of external factors over which we have no control. Relying on Reading/Villa/QPR losing is not a good place to be

"If Arsenal had played on Boxing Day, we certainly wouldn’t have had the scoreline that we did."
