Well, things like this are exactly the reason I don't get along with the "prominent" local fans I know. I don't just believe what the club says. I like to think for myself. When it comes to BVB, I don't accept it when it is a clear day and then the club pisses on my head and tells me it is raining. Since I don't fall in line when I know the club is wrong and since I let my criticisms be heard, I'm "not a true fan" or I'm "disloyal." I say f#ck them. They can't tell me I'm not a "true fan" because I don't bow to their standards. I had to most respect for the local fans when those fans whistled (booed) Valdez off the pitch. That night, Valdez totally deserved to be whistled off. For once, those fans showed their true feelings when their faith was pushed past the limit. And what does the club do? It sets out on a pressure campaign designed to SHAME those fans and basically force them into cheering for this sorry bastard citing "loyalty." What the f#ck about "loyalty" to those fans who pay their hard-earned money to get in to see this team every second week?? What about "loyalty" to them??!! They finally got tired of this guy running around like crazy, but being UNPRODUCTIVE!!! And what has changed since then? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Just that the fans are afraid they'll be branded as "disloyal" if they show their true feelings. These people are such "sheep" that they allowed themselves to be "brainwashed" into liking this sorry f#cker. You can bet BVB Management had an agenda too. You can bet they were thinking, "If they turned on him, how long before they turn on us?? Do you know why? Because Nelson Valdez is still this management team's "record purchase." That's right. Valdez cost more than Frei, Petric, Barrios, Zidan, Hummels, Subotic and Kuba. All players who have joined BVB either with Valdez (Frei) or after Valdez and who are all well more productive or were well more productive than Valdez! And do you know why BVB management has finally realized it is "safe" for them to get rid of Valdez? Because the idiots claiming we will miss his "fighting spirit", "passion" and "effort" seem to forget that we're getting that from KEVIN GROSSKREUTZ now! And Grosskreutz is actually PRODUCTIVE!! Grosskreutz had 5 goals and 3 assists in 32 appearances for BVB last season. And of those 32 appearances, Grosskreutz played less than 10 minutes in four of them. He played exactly 20 minutes in two of them, less than 20 minutes in another two and more than 20 minutes, but less than 30 minutes in another two of them. So if you wanted to get technical, you can say he had those numbers in 22 "quality appearances." It took Valdez 57 appearances over two full seasons and the opening match of his third season to match those numbers!! If those Valdez-supporting morons want to give you any shit, ask them about those numbers! The "true" and "loyal" BVB fans HATE IT when I bring up things like that when telling them they've been brainwashed. They ask me why I say such "hurtful" things (Cris, a guy on our list asked me that one time I met him face-to-face). I say them because they are TRUE!! When people say "the truth hurts", they aren't lying! And too many BVB fans just like to listen to whatever the club says. As long as the club says it is good, then all is good. Even if on a clear day, they piss on your head and tell you it is raining........ Nelson Valdez needs to go. Let him take his UNPRODUCTIVE "passion" and "effort" somewhere else. I'll always like the kid. He's not a bad kid. I'll cheer for him wherever he goes. He's just not a very productive player. Teams who want to win don't need unproductive players such as him taking up space and salary.
