if you compare it to his initial interview with Carlos Loret...the progress is ridiculous!

que triste. que daria para verlo meter un gol una vez mas. :/
Cabanias was cleared by the doctors to play, he will play in a 2nd division team in PY, 12 de Octubre is the name of the team I think that's where he started his career if am not mistaken, good for him he most likely will not be the same player but he sure came a long way in these last 2 years.
Best news Ive heard all year.
can't wait to see him in a game, even if its in 3rd division

Cabanas is now helping sell bread at his familys business to survive, very sad
What happened? His wife took everything?
Sounds like his ex-wife, his agent, and a lawyer took everything from him. The mansion was under her name.
He was still hoping to make some third division team in Mexico this off season, but I'm guessing that didn't work out. Sad, he was probably going to make the jump to Europe after the WC.
I never heard about him going to Man U, but there were talks of him being signed to Sunderland (Steve Bruce liked him a LOT) right before all of this went down.
Man that brings tears... Can't America give him some sort of support? For all those great years he gave them
man that is just sad. I liked him alot especially the copa Sudamericana or Copa libertadores 2008 where America made it to the semis.
They continued paying his wages for a while IIRC, and they did a tribute game, with all funds raised going to him and his family.
Damn. I guess what ********ed him up were that lawsuit, his wife, etc
Murcielagos is the one interested but they need to go up a division for him to be able to play with them because of age restrictions.
America was pretty good to Cabanias, he hasn't said anything bad about America neither any Paraguayan can complain about the way they treated Cabanas, but the poor guy got robbed by his greedy agent and that gold digger wife of him.
Seeing Cabanias like that is really sad, but at the same time you can't help to admire the way he is making an honest living and he just seems at peace with himself.
What I don't understand is why he people didn't sue the place where the incident happened? if anyone has a legitimate case is him.

I think I read somewhere that he didn't have enough funds to even follow through with a law suit but I could be wrong. Doesn't make sense otherwise seeing as some of the paperwork he was told to sign was completed when he hadn't yet regained full consciousness... Talk about getting taken advantage of.
And that gentlemen is why you get dat prenup and put everything under you name <_<
If you aint no punk....holla we want prenup...WE WANT PRENUP......YEAAAAAAAAAH.
he can room in my apartment anytime.. lets raise money to bring chava to USA so he can play for OKC energy FC they have tryouts this weekend.
He was here in NY-NJ area about 2 years ago, His bltch ass wife sent him here to collect money from the Paraguayan community you could tell at the time that he wasn't all there mentally, I heard him on the readio today and the good news is that he sounds a lot more aware of everything, the bad news for him is that he now realizes that his money is all gone.
He can't play at a high level anymore, at least last year a lot of people were saying that 12 de octubre was just doing him a favor to have him on the team, there were still flashes of genius but not enough, but that was last year and since his problem is not really physical maybe this year he got better.
