Exactly. I think it's inevitable. Difference between Madrid and United is that Madrid's midfield and keeper are also a lot better.

United is only attack. Average midfield, defense and solid keeper.

Would be awesome !! That would most likely mean 3 German team on quarter-finals...

Of all 2nd places the only of I can see being rough is Madrid, but is always fun knocking them out ... :D

So no Badstuber and Boateng in the 1/8 final, plus Dante,Martinez and Schweini they all have 2 yellow cards. I hope for an easier opponent

Apart from Celtic, Galatasaray and maybe AC Milan, all the other teams are very strong. Damn. I havent seen so many good teams in the round of 16.

When will it be time to stop rooting for BVB and not hope they get easy draws? They're one of the 3 most difficult teams to beat for us and I'll most definitely stop watching football altogether if we lose to them in the final.

Dortmund/Celtic would probably make for the best atmosphere in the competition, would be an amazing game I think. It's really tough to see easy games this year though, playing field is as level as its been in years.

Seriously, was thinking the same. They are not a team I want to play in CL.

People underestimate Celtic over here. They play very physical football, are good at set pieces and counter attacking and also defend in numbers - it isn't so easy to cope with them. They are beatable, but it definitely isn't an easy tie.

I agree with Matakos; although I'd put them in the order of Madrid, Shakhtar and Porto.

The only reason Celtic went through is because Benfica started very poorly in the Champions League. It was probably because they lost two of their key players Javi Garcia and Axel Witsel.

So these are the groups: winners and runners up

    PSG
    Porto

    Schalke
    Arsenal

    Malaga
    Milan

    Dortmund
    Real Madrid

    Juventus
    Shakhtar

    Bayern
    Valencia

    Barcelona
    Celtic

    ManU
    Galatasaray

I honestly wouldn't mind us playing anyone except shakhtar and Madrid right off the bat.

    Celtic, galatasaray would be preferred.
Arsenal, Milan and Porto are very doable for us
Shakhtar play great football but I don't know what their form will be like in feb or how they will do once the real business starts...
Real Madrid as great a record we have with them, this will always be a 50/50 encounter and we can't risk that early...
