It's just coincidence I think. If he was, he'd probably be higher up in the food chain due to his connections. He's making his way on talent alone though, which is always a good thing.

I've got a question. Is Ulyses Davila who is 17, being considered for the sub 20 world cup next year? From what I read on here he seems to have star potential.

So no Gringo goals (or appearance) like last week, does that mean he flew to Chicago with the rest of the main team?

    Ahora a Estados Unidos

Doesn't sound like the starters will be taking the ptich, and given it's Primera A bench players, the talent level may be a bit off. But I'm already in Fullerton for the day, so for free I figure I'l roll out.

I've never been a big autograph guy, but who knows? It should very laid back there ... I just hope there is a beer concession. There has to be, right!

#46 Juan Ochoa (according to Wikipedia) looked really sound carrying the ball and dominated the first half as did Tapatio. Tapatio's final third saw very little activity throughout.

Davilla came out in the 2nd half and scored at least one of two 2nd half goals. He got tripped up making a run and the ball was kicked into the side of his head after he went to the ground ... a little scrum emerged.

There was no beer concession, but we brought some Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale for pre-game and halftime enjoyment.

The weirdest thing about the night was the freakin' Americanistas that showed up with flags and drums simply to taunt Chivas fans. Seriously, it reeked of an identity crisis where their fandom is defined only by their hatred of Chivas ... once estrellas, 'nuff said.
