#Fiorentina announce that director of football Pantaleo Corvino's contract will not be renewed at the end of the season.

Just tweeted by (I guess) a reporter.

I love Corvino but I think this is the right move.

We need new ideas. Corvino's scouting is no longer the best in the continent like it once was.

It's too bad that this has to be done (and I agree something big has to be done) when we finally get a manager that I really think he could form a good partnership with.

So who is available? It seems like this summer there was talk of Baldini and that dude from Napoli.

    Interesting, especially this bit:

    Which followed this...

I'd really like to know why we should take advice about our club from this guy, especially based on the contentious relationship that existed before. I mean honestly, his guy, Monto, will leave in the summer and he's in essence giving us advice about our family? Vaffa Pallavicino.

    From football-italia.net...

Reports suggest that it is a two-horse race to replace Pantaleo Corvino as sporting director at Fiorentina.

After Viola legend Manuel Rui Costa committed his future to present club Benfica, the list of candidates to substitute Corvino is getting shorter.

Gabriele Oriali and Chievo’s Giovanni Sartori are currently the names who the Tuscans are understood to be considering.
