I am in need of help people. I am a senior in high school and want to attend the press conference badly, very badly. I need some excuses or some things to tell my parents so that they let me leave school early enough to get to the press conference. Any help is appreciated, I can't miss this!

    Thanks!

"Mom, I need an AIDS test."

How can they possibly say no to that?

SARS outbreak? Some kids threatened you? You want to be on TV when Comcast covers it live?

There's only going to be ONE team announcement. You'll be missing history! (no pun intended) :D

You've got to give them the whole, "most kids my age would have just cut school without even asking. At least give me credit for that, this is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity." Guilt trip all the way. Then tell them you'll be in good hands and show them a picture of a responsible looking group of people, perhaps a PTA meeting photo. By no means can you use a photo of us, you will be banned from all future functions by Mom.

Tell your mom you have an extra credit project on the development of soccer in America. Then her this would be the prefect chance to do research for the project. Mom's can't say no to school work.

Seriously...explain how much it would mean to you and how it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

Excuses are like assholes. Everybody has one and they all stink.

The only things you need to say are MLS, Sons of Ben, Philadelphia, Team 16

You tried asking too? I'm a sophomore as well, and I think I was high on the announcement of a team and thought that they would actually let me skip school. I don't see how I can go now.....

M4mento7 - Tell your mom you'll bring her w/ you, then take her shopping and treat her to dinner afterward - women can't resist shopping or free food. ;)
It'll cost you dearly (and you might as well get used to the way the rest of your life is going to be), but it's worth it, isn't it?
Billy is starting to get the picture already.
