I hope this trip to the states does not cost us. Historically Zeman teams have struggled with the winter break, Pescara being the exception. Between injuries and jet lag I would hate for this useless friendly to cost us three points against Napoli.

I agree to an extent. But these trips also foster team cohesion and relaxation, which I'd argue are also important in a long season.

I'd say beating Napoli is the most important thing. Besides they can foster team cohesion in Italy, you don't need to go to Disney World to do that.

Going to be a blow out. Orlando are just playing with 9 defenders, it's almost like they never left Italy ;)

Is this a real team or is it like the equivalent of the lumberjack teams we face in the summer pre-season?

    Basically.....

They're a semi-pro team right now trying to get entry into the MLS, like the NY Cosmos.

    They are MLS hopefuls.

    Orlando

On October 25, 2010, Phil Rawlins and his investor group of Orlando City Soccer Club, announced their intentions of joining Major League Soccer within the next 3 to 5 years.[50] On February 28, 2011, Orlando City S.C. announced they met with commissioner Don Garber and league officials concerning expansion. Topics covered included the demographics of the Orlando marketplace, the local corporate and fan support for soccer, and developing a roadmap for a future MLS franchise in Orlando.[51]
Reports suggest that Orlando is in the running to follow Montreal Impact into MLS.[52] Orlando City team officials met with Commissioner Don Graber again on November 10, 2011 for further discussions about joining the MLS as its 20th club in 2013.[53] On March 1, 2012 Commissioner Garber visited Orlando to meet with city and county officials. In a statement issued “It’s not a matter of if, but when,” Garber said when addressing Orlando’s chances.[54]
The USL Professional Division club are believed to be gaining consideration from MLS officials to enter the league in 2013. On August 31, 2012, Phil Rawlins told the Orlando Business Journal the team could get the Major League Soccer thumbs-up as early as fall 2013, and be ready to play in the league by 2014 or 2015. Rawlins said to make that happen the league has asked the team to explore building a 22,000-seat soccer-specific stadium. “They didn’t say we had to have a stadium built before we could join, but they at least would like a plan that it’s happening.”[55]

    USL is right below MLS.

They could probably be equal to Serie C2 (DCU just saw your comment, I would agree)

Actually in terms of quality they're below the MLS and NASL. When the MLS/USL partnership comes into affect the USL will leapfrog the NASL.

i don't give a damn about a scoreline, just that someone doesn't get injured. Now when pjanic was on the ground i didn't feel very good to be honest

Orlando City is disgusting, is the whole team going to stay next to the keeper the full 90? They should show some balls and lose with dignity

Does the referee need Bradley's permission to give out a card.
