Don't like Independiente, but props to him and best of luck if he's truly standing up to the thugs. Unfortunately I don't see it happening at Boca anytime soon.

Fair play to him its nice to see someone with balls doing the right thing.

Nothings gonna change though is it until the government/police stop giving them a free hand. One man shouldnt have to stand alone against the barras, he needs support from the people who have the power to make changes.

The independiente coach was attacked today, stereos and stuff was stolen and 'amargos' sprayed on the coach.

We'll see, at least this is being backed up by other clubs, Estudiantes for example is doing the same, and in the end in the friendly against San Lorenzo they got pissed off and left way before the match finished.

But apparently that was made by Boca supporters for what I've heard.

In another example of savagery a Chicago hincha was killed last night and a hospital attacked by members of the Barra in search of revenge.
Argentina is growing as a country very quickly in economic terms. We need to finish with this lunacy now.

Worse yet it was in the afternoon in the club's complex.

The matter was like this, the new president some Fusca guy(who apparently is an ex-barra), summoned the two antagonist groups Los Perales(Probably called after neighbourhood of the same name, the former "official" barra) and Las Antenas(The "official" barra) at the club's auditorium a version claims that the people of Las Antenas began attacking the other group and that the whole thing ended up on the street with the result of a member of Los Perales(Agustín Rodríguez) dead and one member Las Antenas wounded(Aldo Barralda, the leader of the group no less and believed to be the murderer), seeking for revenge they went towards the Santojanni hospital where the Barralda guy was, causing some havoc through the hospital managed to "wound Barralda even more" while he didn't die but he needed a surgery.

Regarding Nueva Chicago we must remember they always manage to outdo themselves:
-In 2007 Chicago's barra(Back then Los Perales) starred the fatal incident in the match against Tigre, which resulted in the death of Marcelo Cejas the Tigre supporter.
-The president of the time Antonio Filomeno still has an open trial for being accomplice on the incident of Tigre's match.
-This caused that the away supporters on the lower levels couldn't attend matches until recently(Ironically this was a "first division match" and the problems were started by the home supporters).
-The successor of Filomeno, Gustavo Lacanna, didn't have any relationship with the barras though he couldn't get rid of them.
-The "new" president of Nueva Chicago, Fusca, supposedly was backed by Las Antenas.
