good defender shin guards?

    Can any of you recommend good shin guards for a defender? Thanks in advance!

    ughhh...only if you can recommend good socks for a central attacking midfielder

    just for a heads up this should be in the equipment forum and also i think that any shinguard thats comfortable and has a lot of protection would be good. probably like the air zoom total 90 shinguards. that's what i have and they're great.

    I had the vapor shin guards for a while and they worked out nicely for me

    i think the total 90's great for defenders, but whatever you feel is comfortable.

    the smallest, lightest ones available. then to make them even smaller and lighter, you should be cutting them down in size.
    defenders don't need guards. I really wish FIFA would allow people to play without them.

    Yeah, thats how I feel in general too. I will say this tho, when you do get done up in the shins and you aren't wearing guards, or they aren't big enough...well, damn...you really wish you had them.

    when i played defense, i wore the nike j guard. i think it's a good pad, so try that out;)

    THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A POSITION-SPECIFIC SHINGUARD!!!!!:mad:

    yeah...i don't think it matter so long as they're comfortable

    i have the nike j-guard and they're low-profile and protect enough of my shin

    but yeah there's definitely not a position-specific shinguard
