the mess is created by the state leagues. If you win them, nobody cares. If you go bad, coaches fall.

Marcelo Morenos going to be really good for Gremio, can't say the same about Kleber though.

Marcelo Moreno, Kleber, Facundo Bertoglio(loan), Ezequiel Miralles, Andre Lima, Leandro Moura, soon to be Cristian Rodriguez...

How is Gremio struggling... Luxa will surely push you towards relegation heh.

Hello guys, is Leandro Moura a hot prospect? I have seen some videos about him and I read he is described as the neymar of the south.
Is he going to be a starter for Gremio in the next brasilerao?

Wikipedia says "Gaucho Championship in 2011, Leandro scored a decisive goal against Internacional of Porto Alegre, champion of America. At the end of the Championship, was voted the best striker alongside Leandro Damião."

How is he playing in the current gaucho championship?

    as a reserve player.

ok, so he scored a decisive goal against Inter (Grêmio was also twice Champion of America, btw). And was voted best striker of the championship.

But we are talking about a 3 month long championship, where only two clubs play in the brazilian Serie A, 2 clubs play the brazilian Serie C and 3 play the brazilian Serie D.

Others dont even take part in any national league.

Thus, thats not a real basis to judge any player. There are many players that play well the Gauchão league, even score decisive goals against Internacional, but then disappear, for they are mediocre.

Leandro is good. But far from exceptional, as some would believe.

tell me about Yuri Matute and why Mario Fernandes is so mentally weak. (Yes, I've heard the story about his attempt to run away)

btw, how long before Gremio gets relegated again?

Yuri MaMUTE, not Matute. He is too young to be a main squad player. The last coach tried him in some matches, now he returned to the youth squad.

as for Mario Fernandes, he is mentally weak because he is. How do you want me to explain that? Ask a psychologist after the guy had some dozen sessions with him at least

what kind of trolling is this??

    just so you know

Gremio qualifying in the brazilian league (in parenthesis, Inter´s qualification in the same year)

    2006: 3nd (2nd)
    2007: 6th (11th)
    2008: 2nd (6th)
    2009: 8th (2nd)
    2010: 4th (7th)
    2011: 12th (5th)

    Total Points Grêmio: 67+58+72+55+63+48 = 363
    Total Points Inter: 69+54+54+65+58+60 = 360

Grêmio got MORE points than Internacional, in total, since 2006, and you ask when Grêmio will get relegated again? By analizing the above data, Inter is closer to relegation than Grêmio :rolleyes::rolleyes:

as for Libertadores in the last 10 years

    2002
    Grêmio - semi-finalist

    2003
    Grêmio - quarterfinals

    2004

    2005

    2006
    Internacional - champion

    2007
    Grêmio - finalist
Internacional - fell in the group stage lol

    2008

    2009
    Grêmio - semifinalist

    2010
    Internacional - champion

    2011
Grêmio - fell in the 8th finals
Internacional - fell in the 8th finals

AS YOU CAN SEE, in the brazilian league Grêmio was better than Inter, since returning from the 2nd division in 2006

In the Libertadores, in the last 10 years, although not winning, we are not that far behind Internacional.

lol.. too bad we're not talking about the last 8-10 years.. more like last season and this coming season. By the looks of things, I wouldn't be surprised if yall flirted with relegation this season. This team seems weaker compared to last season's team which managed to finish 12th (smh)

I'm not trolling. I'm very serious. Do You think Yuri Mamute might become a future first-teamer or is he also just hype. A lot of Gremio's young player seem to be nothing but hype lately.

based on what? The Gauchão? Last year people thought Vasco was a shitty team, and suddenly they win the Copa do Brasil and finish the brasileirão very well.

the team seems weaker? I dont think so. The attack is better. The team is still being molded.

Inter finished eleventh in one of the seasons above, then went very well the next season. Best you stop with this nonsense. With the brazilian league, ALL PREDICTIONS are bound to fail and you know that.

Inter close to relegation than Gremio? Never happened, never will hapeen. Time grande nao cai.

Not that far behind in the last 10 years? In Porto Alegre we called that "Mundo paralelo do gremio". Inter won the Libertadores twice the last 10 years. Gremio not only didn't win once, but the only final they reached they were blown 5x0 aggregated results, the biggest loss ever on a libertadores final not only by a Brasilian side, by any team anywhere. And yet, "not that far behind."

That kind of thinking is really what keeps Gremio down, they used to think big and achieve big things back in the day. Now they live in the parallel world trying to compete with Inter (that at the current moment/last decade is simply ages and ages ahead of Gremio btw). It would serve gremio better to admit the blunders of poor management, bad deals, not so smart presidents and fix things rather than try to compare themselves to Inter (something that a team who's won nothing in the last decade can't) All honesty this last decade only Sao Paulo can talk to Inter in Brasil. Everybody else is eating dust. Also, the relegation talk holds water, Gremio was already relegated twice, anyone can ask when the next time would happen and a 3rd time wouldn't not be a surprise. When a team goes down one time for the first time it's a surprise, after the second? They are already familiar with the 2nd league.

ps: Please don't be a crybaby and scream trolling since this is totally within the subject. Responding to quoted text in respect of my team.

you ARE trolling the thread. I once answered inside the subject in the Inter thread and received a warning for trolling the Inter thread.

get out of this thread, this is not the place for you. If you want to talk shit, go to the World Rivalry Forums, or to the Inter thread.

lots of drama in vasco-gremio, gremio don't have that urgency in their attack like vasco but one can say they should be tied 2-2 due to both the disallowed goal and the penalty given, the vasco RB was owning his side and gremio rightfully adapted in sending crosses from vasco's left, still need to work on finishing though

and did you see the opportunity right after, ball skids in front of goal and a poor touch sends it wide, the positive is that they created chances and had some good crosses in the box

Moura was voted best striker along with damiao so that certainly gave hype but he's still only 19 still has to fully develop both game wise and physique

Yea but thats The Gauchao.. Gaucho is not a good measuring stick for talent at all, compared to The Brasileirao and he didn't seem above average last Brasileirao..but Hopefully he's matured since then and can put up some performances this Brasileirao season.

    I'm hoping for the best.

Fernando is 1/3 of the team right now, and if we sell him, we will suffer too much. But he will be sold eventually. We need to hold him however, AT LEAST until he is called to the main national team squad and does well, so he will be more valued. The problem is not exactly selling good young players, but selling them cheap.

    some Grêmio Arena updates
