We could make DC the 51st state and Australia 52. So the flag's still even.

That's what worries me the most about adding any territories.

We need Canada too, we'll frack Canada until it begs for us to stop. And then we'll keep fracking.

Toss in Puerto Rico to get us back to an even number of stars.

I think Canada is fracked enough as it is.

There's being fracked and getting fracked. I'm talking about the latter. Let's bend over Canada for its oil.

That or heterosexual doggy. Doesn't matter me. The point is we have a $550 billion annual military, so let's do what the alpha males with the biggest horns do -- take 'em from behind, when we want.

When I was in college worked at an excellent liquor store. One night this guy comes in and says the shelf is empty where Foster's should be, did we have any more? My coworker answers "No, but we do have some GOOD beer."

Hopefully our AUS allies are safe as the US is on pace to be a net oil exporter if its not already i believe.

Foster's: it's Australian for "piss." Though I have to admit, I used to really like putting down a couple oilers of Foster's Extra Special Bitter. That was pretty good. They call it premium ale now, I think.

There's a reason they export Fosters but keep the XXXX.

Yellow spongecake, aluminum foil. Nah wait, that's an old shopping list.

Some A-rabs (not the Saudis of course) needed a beatdown. A-rabs with oil an added bonus

On the oil: The article starts by saying that the estimate is between 3.5B barrels and 233B barrels. The 233B barrel figure is then used for the rest. Common sense would suggest that the real figure would be somewhere in the middle, say around 100B barrels. Still a lot though.

Don't worry though, our government (whichever party is in power) will surely find a way to make sure the profits end up in foregn hands - or allow a rich mining magnate to keep the profits without tax, as seems to happen now. No need to invade, you just have to make sure you suck up to the right people.

On the Beer: We export Fosters to get rid it, disgusting stuff. XXXX and VB are only marginally better. For a good Aussie beer go for Coopers, Cascade, James Boags, or some of the James Squires. As in the US though the best beers are often the microbreweries.

James Squires are the ones I remember as being quite good. And Bees Knees or something like that out of Fremantle -- Shovelhead Brewery IIRC.

Everybody seems to say that about their export beers. My Dutch coworkers grimace at Heineken, the Belgians won't touch Stella, the Germans sneer at Beck's. Well alright, the Irish do like Guinness.

Fosters is better than Aussies say it is, nothing special but good when cold. The oil can of course is the real reason for Fosters' popularity.

No such luck, just the usual Texas smoke.
