Hi, I'm a bit confused as to reading these table letters, what exactly do they stand for?

Played, won, drawn, lost, goals for, goals against, goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded), points total.

In this case, won, drawn, lost, goals for and goals against are divided into home and away matches.

All that really matters is the number at the end, points. Teams are placed in order of points. Highest at the end of the season is the winner. If teams are level on points they are placed higher or lower depending on the difference between their goals scored and goals conceded. Basically, most numbers are trivial besides the last one.

Small correction: Points and matches played is all that really matters.
