I remember my mother's spanking or hitting me with a shoe or flip flop and trying to protect myself, it will be similar on Tuesday.

Gotta think we'll see Welbeck and/or possibly Valencia since they were rested at the weekend. We'll probably see something like:

    --------Welb------------
    -------------Rooney---------
    Januzaj--------------------Mata
    ------Carrick----Hair--------
    Evra----Evans----Jones-----Raf
    ----------DDG---------------------

    Would like to see:

    -------------Roon-------------
    Kag/Jan-----Mata--------Nani (wishful thinking)
    ------Carrick------Hair--------
    Evra------Evans----Jones-----Raf
    -----------DDG--------------

Nani hasn't played in months has he? It's pretty much a zero percent chance that he'd start the derby as his first game back.

Hence the wishful thinking comment. Still, I'd rather play him than the other likely candidate...Valencia. Not sure what I'd prefer, Valencia on the right and Mata in the hole or Mata on the right and Welbeck up front with Rooney.

To be honest, it would be wishful thinking for Nani to play, fit or otherwise. He's not a get wide and cross type of guy.

No, he's not. But Moyes probably knows that the fans prefer him over Young and Valencia and at this point Moyes isn't in a battle to win games...he's in a battle to appease the fans and board so he can build "his team" over the summer. That's why he's been on a fan ass-kissing PR marathon as of late.

my latest intel says that Valencia, Rio and Smalling are all very likely to be fit.

not particularly thrilled with any of them starting besides Rio

I never thought about it like that, but I'm not sure if the average united fan prefers Nani over Valencia. I think the appreciation of Nani is limited to the Educated Forum Goer (EFG).
