Well that is why you need a better equipped Police (State, Municipal and Federal).

The PAN does try to give states more rights than the PRI ever did, that leads to good things and bad things (ban on abortion) politics stops the Federal government from creating (well unifying) federal forces into a FBI type of unit, the AFI was supposed to do that but it failed.

You would also think than convoys of 5-10 vehicles would be easy to track and to follow, the bad part is than many times the local police or the local Army is protecting those convoys.

Hey the demand may be here, but Mexico inability to control their territory is Mexico’s problem, maybe taxing all the black market business would help pay for better police.

Is not like we here in the USA do not have issues policing many of our inner city zones, many have higher murder rate than Mexico. Now our politicians like to blame Mexico and their near failed state system for our issues, but really it is our own foult we can help minority urban zones.

But hey, Mexico could always legalize some drugs, that may help the problem down there, the PAN talked about it, but I am sure the Catholic Church would not allow them to do it.

I am not Mexican and so have no vote. And again, despite being a conservative, someone please tell me what the PAN has done to merit reelection? Or the PRI for that matter.

Diaz gave Mexico 40 years of nothing and called it progress
The PRI gave Mexico 70 years of corruption and called it socialism.
PAN has given Mexico 12 years of incompetence and are so imcompetanct they do not even have a name for it.

Maybe it is the PRD's time.

PRD = Old school PRI; the PRI stopped being Socialist so left leaning members of the Party split and formed the PRD, so if voting for PRI is going back, voting PRD is going way back by your comments.

I do think PRD with Ebredad (dude stepped aside to let Obrador run for PRD) would have challenged the PRI this election, I would have voted for PRD with Ebredad, now I think I will vote for the 4th candidate Quadri, then I will vote (not sure If I will be able to vote in the second round) against el PRI in the second round be it Obrador or Mota.

Vásquez Mota just spoke and she has a tone of conceding the election.

Each different news organization has their own projections.... nothing official yet.

Peña Nieto leads by more than 10 points in every projection. Some have have with as much as 51%.

López Obrador is a distant 2nd.

Anything above 40% for Nieto means that he will easily win the second round (if there is one) he will get at least half the PAN vote in the second round.

I have been told that there is no second round, that law was never approved, so there is only one round for the election.

Nieto got this shit in the bag. :(

    2006 was Bush-Gore in Mexico.

EPN is winning the states with large population, AMLO the DF and the southern states.
