How will AFC Inland Empire delight @JasonMa this week?

That's right! I'm mixing it up. And not just the name. Deal with it!

Nothing proves you're a loving son more than taking your mother to an MLS game!

My 73 year old mother is contemplating buying Direct Kick so that she can watch the Sounders down in snowbird country. Hmm, maybe there's a mother's day present idea!

I took my mother to the Mother's Day game between the Union and Red Bulls two years ago. It was Freddy Adu's greatest performance in a Union shirt, and then he got a red after 43 minutes.

My mom hasn't been back since.

MLS Scheduling really wanted to push in some Dempsey games pre WC.

Cool note from Tony Edwards' midweek MLS preview on USSoccerPlayers.com:

"Speaking of midweek games, in the game notes for tomorrow’s Earthquakes-Rapids game we get this intriguing factoid. Joe Cannon holds the ‘most saves in a single game against that opponent’ record for both teams. Good on you, Joe. There are a few MLS cities that miss you."

He is probably upset because he could have been part of the greatest attack in MLS history. If Seattle is this good with Neagle acting like a black hole, how good would they have been with Eddie.

But he made the right choice in going for the money, especially when the pay difference is as big as it was.

EJ gonna EJ. He's like MLS Craig Bellamy, only without the quality, wit, insight or self awareness.

Your overall point is valid, but really? A decent 9 game stretch of scoring = best attack in MLS history? A little premature there. :p

Ben Olsen would bench Eddie, but that would increase his team's chances for victory, and Ben won't do anything to ensure his continued employment with DCU.

Seattle is going to fizzle out for a period of time eventually especially with Dempsey gone, unless Kenny Cooper regains his 2009 form.

It has to be so frustrating to be on the DC United attack that is struggling and see your position being played on your former team by a player who has been a black hole for the last 4 games.

My mom is lucky. She died two Christmas Eve's ago, just so that she wouldn't have to watch the 2014 Chicago Fire.

Someone either Old Yeller me or this team

I imagine all his untalented but hard running teammates are looking at Eddie and thinking ...

Joe was one of the nicest guys in the league. He consistently took time out of his day to talk to people on social media, in public, wherever. He didn't treat them like fans either, he treated them like friends. It was pretty amazing to watch, the guy was super down to earth.

Another guy who was like that was Jimmy Conrad. It is on full display now that he does his KickTV thing but I remember talking to the guy a couple times back in the day even and being shocked at how cool he was.

Two great ambassadors for the league..and humanity.

    Alright ...

It's been about two weeks since I could truly just sit down and watch an MLS game. That's great. But why'd it have to be a Houston home game?
