David Moyes is available. It wouldn't be pretty, but at least we'd be organized.

    Jesse Marsch is available.

We need to find the next Oscar Pareja...... No more retreads, is a REAL coaching search too much to ask.

    What a pathetic attempt today.

With that said Sorber is new enough maybe he isn't tainted yet. But Hack out!

There was a post from someone close to the Union and said Hack doesn't run the practises? I want someone who has a definite style of play and is on the training ground drilling the squad on what he wants to see...

When your solution is continue an experiment at CB and have Cruz & Fabinho join the attack, you've run out of ideas.

It would be, we would like to hope, a step up from the SilverBacks. He's a former player. He knows the league. Both of which were true for Nowak and one of which was true for Hack, so we're only talking minimum qualifications. I kind of wonder why nobody else has offered him a try before now. Does he have Nowak-like stability issues? Is he going to say "It's up to the players to figure out what they're supposed to be doing" or is he going to give them some direction and actually drill them in it? Can he identify good talent that can compete at this level? Will he actually run his own practices? Can he make game day decisions? Can he tailor a system that fits the players he has while working to find players that fit the system he wants? I personally don't want a BPL coach who can't figure out the league structure and doesn't understand the travel rigors or the inexperience and salary weirdness of the players.

Are people serious about Moyes? He's going to Newcastle or AV.

I really don't know coaches in this country. I just want someone who is attacking-minded and who actively uses young players like Pfeff, McLaughlin, and Ribs.

Agreed. I don't want us consistently looking like a High School team, but you've got to get them in to the mix.

He is certainly an outspoken character and has publicly laid into MLS for certain policies, so I assume that's a large part of it.

But personally I think the league could use some personality and would welcome it to the Union in the form of Wynalda. Hackworth is just a wet piece of cardboard, not even sharp enough for a paper cut.

You know Wynalda has a deep understanding of the game, certainly moreso than Hack. And he took that amateur team on a deep run in the Open Cup, beating Portland. And at least in his first stint with the Silverbacks he saved their season.

So outside of saying he wanted to be the manager of Chivas USA (allowing him to stay in LA near his children, and to keep his job at Fox) has he expressed interest in managing any other MLS team?

He manages the Atlanta Silverbacks from afar. He doesn't attend the day to day coaching of the team and flys in for matches. Let's not forget his loose cannon nature in front of a microphone either. That sounds EXACTLY what the Union need......

Bring back Brendon Burke. He can turn this around..he left because he and Rob couldn't agree on tactics/personal and he didn't want to rock the boat.

Keep Curtin he knows he stuff.

    Perhaps
    Martin Rennie
    Colin Clarke
    Richie Williams
    Robin Fraser

    Probably Not
Thomas Rongen (previous connection with Nick S. from Mutiny days)
    Steve Nicol
    Octavio Zambrano
Martin Vasquez (now that he's "less busy" with USMNT)

    No Way
    Anyone associated with EPL

Who we all know it will be
    Vartughian, Curtin, or Sorber

Tab might be a good choice. He obviously knows Sak. Oh wait......that may not be a good thing. Guess that rules out Richie as well.

firing Hack is only wishful thinking, lets not waste time actually seriously talking about who is going to replace him, its not gonna happen anytime soon unfortunately. remember the FO takes alot longer to figure out what we already know/knew (i.e. Farfans, Novak, etc.)

gonna be a long awful season.........and playoffs, hahahahaha
    MacMath getting 15 shutouts, hahahahahaha

Would prefer not another MLS retread. Maybe Rennie or Clarke would be OK. Fraser wasn't a good head coach. Richie Williams - well, I feel like I've seen that movie before. What's desperately needed is a coach from outside of the organization entirely. If Sorber is made interim, that would be fine, but he shouldn't stay on unless he wins hardware, which is a huge ask at this point.
