Personally I think J-League already planned to go back to a one stage system. They have stated that they plan to stick to 2 stage system for at least 5 years. Could also be interpreted that they are considering to change back after 5 years.

They usually always do it like this, the longer the contract the more they can get from the transfer, plus I believe he probably get himself a better salary for this 6 months at least as well.

So it's a win win situation if he goes to WC does well there and in J1 and in the summer some nice European club comes to get him

See that odd list is what makes J-League so cool compared to other leagues, it takes a completely uninteresting information and makes it to a concept so you get a franchise feeling over something that isnt. Very Japanese and in my opinion exactly one of J-Leagues strenghts.

Sorry it's in Indonesian :) - but for summary; the news said that Irfan will be joining Kofu for this 2014 and just waiting for medical examination. He will be introduced Monday tomorrow. Irfan before come to Indonesia, he was played for Reserve team of FC Utrecht.

Actually he's not a naturalised citizen, he choose Indonesian passport when he was 17 according to Indonesia's Law on Citizenship for people who have parents from different citizenship. His father is former Indonesian footballer, while his mother is a Dutch.

Perhaps for this season I'll support Kofu :D
