I saw the beginnings of something I don't think will bode well for supporters groups or the other fans. Now, with three supporters groups sitting potentialy very close together is there a need for a couple reps of each supporters group to meet together along with someone from the FO on a semi-regular basis. It seems imperative to figure out the best way to not create what may sound to the rest of the stadium like a concophony of unsynchronized drumming, and yelling of multiple chants with multiple rhythms and different words?

Some organization and synchronization may be needed to avoid turning people off to these groups, or worse yet coming to Earthquakes games at all. It may be time for the groups to work together much more closely than they ever have in the past.

What say you, members of supporters groups?

I don't know what you saw, EpiQuakes, but I saw myself being harrassed, falseley imprisoned, and wrongfully ejected from the stadium during the first half, all because I was carrying a supporter flag in the "wrong" section of the stadium.

I agree - THIS DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR FANS OF THE SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES.

Are there meetings with a couple reps from each of the three supporter groups and someone from the front office that have already occurred? Is there one scheduled for this week? Seems like there should be at least one meeting after every home game to me until things are much more ironed out than they were at the exhibition game last weekend.

for what I know, the meeting took place sometime last two weeks, but the main issue is that whatever was discussed and agreeded in that particular meeting wasn't done exactly the way it was agreed.

So you have to ask yourself as a SG's rep, why should I go to a meeting, loose a day of pay in my job, if whatever we talked in the last meeting wasn't done in the game day ?

I wasn't at the last game against OR, but for what I heard, the rule was ONE DRUM PER SG, at the game day only one SG follow that rule was actually following that agreement, the other two well...

The productive of the meeting will shown only in the game day, this time it wasn't the case.

Draconian crap, and a "rule" no one in our group recalls hearing. Looking around the league, I gladly fail to see such a rule in play. Are we expected to be uniquely lame?

It was my understanding that, this rule "one drum per SG" was impossed by the FO rep. That obvuisly they changed their mind is different issue all together.

In fact I have a friend that tried to bring a drum to the game against Houston
and he was told, he cannot bring it in the stadium because there is a rule from the Quakes regarding drums
