Bessa stadium that belongs to Boavista FC and it's known for its english shape. It does also have the best acoustic of all portuguese stadiums.

Well considering that Vitoria SC has the fourth highest attendance in Portugal, despite the fact that they are in the second division...kinda shows that its not a small team.

Are you serious? I did not know Victoria played in Faro? Whoever plays there needs to get promoted. That stadium and the Algarve area in general deserve a big team.

    I mean this is a beautiful stadium...[IMG]

theres a misunderstanding going on here.

Vitoria SC = Vitoria Guimaraes... they play in Estadio D. Afonso Henriques in the city of Guimaraes. They are not a "small team", they have the 4th highest attendances in Portugal and a strong fanbase.

Vitoria FC = Vitoria Setubal... they play at Estadio do Bonfim in the city of Setubal.

For the Algarve Estadio, no clubs in the I or II liga use it to my knowlegge...
except when SLB wants to change one of their road games:rolleyes:

I think it was pretty clear he was referring to the stadium in Algarve.

Louletano has been using it lately as their home stadium. SC Farense is also trying to revive their existence as a senior team , and if successful , will most likely use it too.

I have been in 5 of the new and renovated stadiums:

    Alvalade XXI
    Dragao
    Luz
    Guimaraes
    Bessa

All during my trip in Portugal during the Euro. Best 2 stadiums from a pure "viewing" aspect IMHO is Alvalade and Bessa. Close to the action, good accoustics.

The Dragao is also very nice, but the open end zones means alot of the atmosphere is lost since the sound escapes. Also very good site lights if you are on the first level. The second level leaves you like you are too far away from the action.

The luz while some may think it's pretty lacks any "character" as it is just a bland concrete structure from the outside and a blinding vision of red on the inside. Sight lines are horrible from the top deck.

These are MY opinions from having watched games in all of the above.

I love the look of the Benfica stadium from the outside.
