Totally agree. Just got back from the game and this was my thought exactly--a much better team than record suggests. You could have easily taken all three points tonite. Your players were crushed...haven't seen that type of emotion on the field from a regular season game perhaps ever. Keep your chin up, results will begin falling your way.

I agree......TFC should be about 1-1-5 now which is much better than 0-0-7.......still last place mind you (so I guess we don't 100% agree).

Yet another. I watched your match last week and you deserved to beat Chicago - if it weren't for those few mistakes. I really felt for your side when I saw them go to ground after the final goal - as exultant as most of us were.

TFC is way better than their record. Don't give up on your side - your front line cut us to ribbons (Avila, Johnson, Plata).

Those aren't results falling but, rather, big bits of iron with "ACME" printed on them! Beep Beep.

But those mistakes happen every week! I appreciate the kind and sporting words from Sandy.....but you actually don't "deserve" to win when you make those mistakes every match. Quite the opposite, you deserve to lose in that case! And they have!

the MLSE "bottom line" greed argument makes no sense - MLSE backs their teams very well financially, the reality is they are simply bad "owners".

Look at the Blue Jays, Rogers is no less cheap and the Jays have been very respectable for years because they have better ownership.

that is why as fans of TFC it is difficult to find good ways of expressing frustration.

Having suffered through some horrific seasons with DC United in recent years I feel your pain, TFC supporters. You deserve better. I think you've got some of the best supporters in MLS.

I do think, btw, that you have a much better side than your record suggests. It's not like you guys are getting blown out.

Hang tough and I hope you turn it around...beginning after our (DCU) match next Saturday. ;-) I'm actually quite nervous about that game.

I am of the "were better than our record" camp. Seems the conversion rates on our mistakes are much higher against us than those of the teams we are playing. Shoud we be 7-0-0? No, but 3-1-3 might be reasonable.

Unfortunately the boys are spooked and implicit versus explicit confidence is at a all time low. How can it not be given the situation? So while publicly everyone is talking a good game inside each player not as likely so assured. Their work rate was exceptional last night. If they can keep this up, apply more pressure to close down the situation, and try to kep the ball a little longer we will get our result. Then we can start to build our confidence back up. It will happen, team is better than record.

    your argument makes no sense.

if money was the primary motivation for MLSE (which it is), wouldn't it be better for the teams to be successful? playoff runs, championships, extra TV revenue, extra ticket revenue, merchandise etc all come with the postseason. can you imagine how much money the Leafs would rake in if they finally win the Cup? Look at your Toronto FC. They made the semifinals of the CCL and sold out the SkyDome. Extra money in MLSE's pocket right there.

MLSE are simply like someone said clueless owners. they don't know how to run sports clubs.

    We play well.......we lose.

It happens in this game a lot, just not usually so many games in a row.

These guys are putting their heart and soul into the shirt though.

Yes the Jays have been decent during their run of 19 or so years without a meaningful September game!

They're also in the toughest division in baseball.

Plus the Jays have actually won something meaningful in their history and contributed to the history and image of this city. Unfortunately they started deteriorating after the strike of 94'. At least they didn't die like the Expos.

I don't know if using the blue jays and their consistent .500 record this year and over the years is a model for success.

I like how this team puts in the effort every game, need to be patient with them.

We all knew ahead of time that this was going to be a tough one to get a result. RSL at home is always a tough draw. Heartbreaking to lose the game in the final minutes. Difficult too with the number of missed chances. But as mentioned above, they are playing hard. Compare this to the team under Mojo where after going down 1-0 on the road they would have mailed it in the rest of the game.

11 of the Leafs 23 man roster at the end of the season were Canadian.

That is slightly less than 50%. Overall this season, slightly more than 50% of NHL players were Canadian!

Just because Don Cherry is a loudmouth does not mean we have to buyand repeat his nonsense.

OK, I can see where this is going. I guess the match isn't worth talking about anymore.

Time to put this puppy to bed.
