This is really getting insane. Look, 2010 is NOT going to happen, unless the team plays in a bb stadium or red bull park. Both bad ideas. There will be no new soccer stadium in NYC by 2010. And while it is true that the shea stadium area and downtown brooklyn are totally different, there will be community opposition which will hold construction up. Not to the extent that the Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn have done it. But this is going to take some time. Napoli, in many ways, these are less corrupt times than the 1930s. Giant projects don't happen in NYC based on one person's say so. It's a democratic system designed to give power to local communities.
