ROTLFMAO This is one of the two reasons I don't really post here anymore - the complete and utter nonsense that's trotted out by people trying to sound smart. Benitez played one system at Liverpool and never adapted to anything, which was the same system he used at Valencia (where he took over a side that had made it to the CL final two years running under Cuper). One of the reasons for his failure is precisely his inability to adapt, ffs!
Rafa, if he comes, is going to be another caretaker. No more. Which is a good thing.

No we wouldn't - we'd still be behind Man City even if we got 3 points against United (which would have been a reach - we were already down to 10 men).
One of the reasons DiMatteo succeeded last season was that he literally gave up on the league (remember that Arsenal squad? ugh). He's not a manager who rotates - didn't do it at West Brom either. Given all the competitions we're in, that's just not realistic. I'm not arguing whether the sack is deserved or not, but I don't think RDM was ready to manage a club like Chelsea, as classy of a guy as he is. Same with AVB, really.

I thought there was another couple of howlers that denied us wins instead of draws or draws instead of losses?? But, yeah, you might be right. I still don't think most of our performances have been THAT bad to warrant the chop for the guy. I dunno... just another fella that came across as a nice guy who's got the push. :(

Mind you, IIRC I said the same thing about Avram Grant, didn't I, so maybe best not to listen to me :D

I think players will respect RDM.....nobody will respect fat Rafa.

Bottom line is that this manager saga is becoming a status quo and in the long run, this will is terrible for the club. You can't have consistent results w/out consistency. RDM was a young manager, which at some point we'll have to hire anyways if we want consistency. I'm not saying we will find SAF, but give a manager few years. Something tells me that as long as Roman is here, the sword of Damocles will always be hanging on a manager's head.

I wasn't as down on RDM as I was on AVB (I hated that appointment from day 1), but he hasn't helped himself. It wasn't that we lost in Turin, we looked terrible. Why set us up in a formation we've never used before that results in long balls being punted to a 5'8 #10 going up against Chiellini? It smacked of desperation and a lack of ideas. That really hurt his cause.

Harry? Feck no. Thankfully, he's been given an offer to take over the Ukrainian national team which he should accept.

I'd take Pep for footballing, and to a much lesser extent, PR reasons , but he's on a sabbatical in New York and is showing no signs of ending it just yet.

Guus is under contract, so that eliminates him. From all indications, Rafa is the most likely to be the short term solution for the club right now. If he ends up coming, then I hope he can make a quick impression on the players and galvanize the locker room. We don't want disillusioned players that will walk on the pitch on Sunday only to get ripped asunder by a rampang Man City side.

Well there was the push on Ramires that gave Liverpool the draw, another couple of points.

I also did not mind the team that RDM picked last night, the only change I would have made would have been to drop Luiz as well as Torres.

I may take a sabbatical from this club. Really cannot stand rafa. I would rather have AVB back.

I wouldn't take either of them if given the option really, but that is up to the Chelsea board after all.

Most we can do as fans is voice our annoyance, protest or in an extreme case, boycott matches.
