Hey, I just jumped from two to four seats next season. Don't look at me when the place is 2/3rds green (and I like green).

Well, hopefully our season ticket package includes the CCL next year (this was the first year they have done that).

Mexico, the only big time football nation where wearing the home town jersey and you still get killed.
    Sigh.

Weren't Champions Cup tickets included in 2008?? I don't recall buying extra tickets to watch Saprissa that year?

With the win over DC, we have qualified for the 2013-2014 CCL.

    This is the best part!

By the way, earlier the Houston Dynamo stated that our season tickets for 2013 would include a ticket to the Santos series. My predicted break-down is:

    17 Regular season games
    1 CCL Quarter-Finals v. Santos
    1 2013-14 CCL Group Stage
    1 Dynamo Charities Cup

This saddens me because the only reason why we even had semi-decent attendance for CCL games was because the tickets were included. Now we'll have to sell one group stage ticket as stand-alone.

Maybe they'll make the second CCL date part of the exchange program?

    Or we get 21 games?

Nah, seriously, though, I wonder what they'll do. XD

    My prediction:

    17 league games
    1 - Santos game
    2 - CCL group games

Those are the games that they can definitely lock in. I think they'll try to bring a big team in for the Charities Cup and sell that one separately. They know the CCL group games will be a tough sell on an individual basis.

I'm really excited for next season. If Charities Cup isn't going to be included we are probably going to get a well-known team. I know of one Latin American team that's sponsored by BBVA. They're kinda like a big deal...

I think that both River Plate and Boca Juniors( both have BBVA on their shirts), would be a fun match up for the Dynamo. A good tie-in with our wonderful stadium sponsor.

Boca Juniors is probably the one Latin American that can make both Euro-snobs and Latinos go to games.

If it's Boca, then my Argie in-laws will probably actually bother to come to a Dynamo game out of some half-ass sense of loyalty.

Is anybody planning on going to Torreón? I was thinking I would be down with flying in, going to the game, flying out, staying one night. But the airfare kills you. Cheapest I can find is over $600, and it goes through Dallas. If you start in Dallas, strangely, it's over $700. Flying from San Antonio is no cheaper. Like I said last year, if I'm going to spend that much money on a trip, I want a beach to be involved. And a lot less shooting.

A friend called last night and wants to rent a car on the border and drive. It's less than 6 hours from Laredo. But you die. Seriously. I thought, really, how bad can it be. I'm not usually scared off by reading things on the internet. But I found this...
    http://www.hellonearthblog.com/2012/11/torreon.html
    and then there was this:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/29/torreon-mexico-drug-war_n_2037555.html
And that's just two of them.
My friend has friends in Torreón so I think he knows what he would be getting into, but he said his wife has told him not to go, and she's from Mexico (he's from Central America). I would think a good way to do this would be a convoy of lots of cars, the press going along (especially tv), and some armed security of some type. So, you think the Dynamo is up to arranging that for us?
I hate to pass, but I'm afraid I'm watching the game at home. Why can't we play in Cancún again? Even in Monterrey would be easier. Pachuca, Mexico City I would be ok with too. But not the 7th most deadly city in the world. :(

I thought if enough of us went we could arrange group movement and security -- but then I concluded that would just tell the gangs that we were worth kidnapping and they would kill the security. So I think the way to go is fly-in, go to game, and fly-the-hell out ASAP. This being my busy season -- it is not really an option anyway.

WHAT ARE THE ROSTER RULES?! We aren't tied to the roster we had in the last round or anything, right?
