Will San José plant the seeds of revolt toward the visitor's ambitions toward the playoff race?

Will New England overthrow the host's aspirations of its first win of the season?

The Earthquakes rising back to their long-absent league prominence? The Revolution rebelling against those trying to keep them from returning to constant MLS Cup appearances?

    Discuss.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Well -- let's just hope that the Atiba Harris experiment is over!

On the bright side, this will be the first time the San Jose Earthquakes have had pretty much an entire week to rest and prepare for their next opponent since resting and preparing for the first game against Deportivo Toluca F.C.

Atiba the useless should never suit up for the Quakes again.

New England is basically the reciprocal of our squad. They play with flair and zazz, but have no backbone or toughness at all. At least theyre aesthetically pleasing on the eyes

It's not really Atiba's fault really is it? It's not like we would've won yesterday if he hadn’t been playing.
There are tons of players on our team that are of that 6/10 mediocre ineffective mold like Harris, he is one of many & is taking a disproportionate amount of the blame.
I think New England is not as good as last year, on paper anyhow, we need the win, if we lose this one we are in big trouble.

No -- losing is not Harris' fault, but he was absolutely useless defensively and a turnover machine when we had any paltry attempt at offense. He adds nothing to the team, and seems to radiate an aura of not wanting to be on the field, which I think Watson should respect...

That very well might be true, but you could apply that paragraph to about 7 of our players & it would've been accurate.

The only reason Atibba is starting is because of injuries. We need to get healthy.

Any more news on Jello? If he is injured, to what degree, and does he have his visa yet?

(Mlssoccer.com does not have him listed under the injury report.)

It's a progression, Earth. First the visas, then comes the injury.

That's what I figured, he needed to be officially here before he can be officially injured.

Well, I going in a little different direction with it I think, more of a "if it wasn't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all..". Once he gets his visa, he's going to go out to training and get injured.

I was going on the tweet from Robert Jonas? saying he had been injured, but, the injury has not been reported elsewhere. Jello is listed on our roster, and has been given the #10, yet, his whereabouts and status is a mystery.

Obviously, it is too early for a "must win." However, SJ better win this match and the next home one against Columbus. At minimum, four points from the two matches or this season might become another macro Goonie time like last year. Unlike last year, San Jose will be missing several of its best players (Goodson, Bernardez, Wondo(?)) from mid May to at least late June.

New England was unfortunate not to win against Vancouver. Both teams will be hungry for their first win, so it should be a good one. I think Quakes win 1-0 or 2-1.

New England has yet to score a goal this year. The Quakes pride themselves on a disciplined defense. Hoping for a 2-0 cruising, but it'll probably be the typical 1-0 win or 1-0 loss for the Quakes.

Columbus is playing on-fire soccer right now so they aren't a pushover.

But Teal Bunbury is their #10! Hah, that fact slays me.
