awesome I didn't know he was in 1st division :)

We really need to start seeing defenders pop up randomly now. I really hope the Real Madrid wingback kid is good

This guy ain't no defender. this guy is a playmaker. el propio enganche. su equipo habia perdido dos partidos seguidos antes de este con Boca . el tecnico cambio de esquema de 4-4-2 a 4-3-1-2 para darle cabida en el equipo. The experiment worked out, so I think we'll be reading about this kid a little more often. Who knows if this guy could be another James.

    Montoya has got some talent.

Colombia has so many talented players now that many have no spot on the national team so Colombia is becoming like Brazil in that respect.

i think we are becoming the South Corea of the football. The other day i was comparing what they did to transform their economy with what weve been doing with our football, and i found some similarities

first we began coping what the best on the market did, argentinians, brazilians and so on, the result was: we produced cheap player with less quality, just countries with less football quality bought our players

later, we produced players with a better quality but with a payable price, we started to stand for a "developing country" in terms of football, top countries began to buy a couple of our players and "to test our production" in a more detailed manner.. argentina, brazil, etc but we still had inconsistencies and there was skepticism yet.

but then, our systems of procution became better, we could increase the number and quality of our players, in some cases, we could ask for a higher price and some markets were willing to pay it...
now, we still have to improve our methods and other details, but the world already recognizes as a top nation and one can say the future had never looked that nice

I think a world cup appearance will put us back on the map. Having missed 3 consecutive world cups really hurt the marketability for many good players that should have gone to Europe. Especially when you consider that 3 of those came at the boom of the internet, post '98.

Also, much merit too our youth squads despite this horrid era for senior team have been showing up: Toulon, Sub17 and Sub20 specifically.
