serie a may be struggling from a financial point of view, but this may help the international team. Since the big clubs are struggling to hold onto star players (ex. ibra, thiago silva, Lavezzi etc..) this may force italian clubs to invest more money domestically rather than spend money on the transfer market buying players abroad (or at least expensive players). Hopefully teams like Inter which hasnt been known in recent years to field many italian players in their starting 11, will use more italian products. Obviously italian club teams will struggles during tournaments like champions league, but hopefully it can help develope domestic italian players

i agree. with the lack of petro dollars or spanish gov money, we can't throw money at all the south american youngsters; but this means we will be forced to turn to our italian youth (which imo is where we should have always have been focused). verratti got away sure, but i mean really the fee was ridiculous and there seems to be many a talented youngsters in italy and hopefully now they can get more time!

with destro, insigne, el sharaawy, ogbonna all set to feature this year, and others like faraoni, immobile, and marrone battling for time, i'm hopeful a youth movement finally starts!

I agree with Verratti's price being way to high considering he had never played in Serie A. I mean seriously ? Why would a big club team want to pay that much and he is so unproven right now. I hope that he gets to play in PSG but I am not sure he will get to play there !. We'll have to see. But there is still plenty of good players in Italia that are young, like the ones you mentioned. I didnt really like that Roma sold Borini to Liverpool after they bought him. I am sure some other team would have taken him in Italia. The deal went to quick, they should have seen what other teams would have taken him. Hopefully Andrea Poli will come through.

You think nobody would take him ? In Italia ? I mean it wasnt long after they bought him he was gone to liverpool with no problems. it was like BAM, BAM gone, seemed Why not keep him ? Why could he not stay in Italia.

Borini may have wanted to go to Liverpool also. but Roma could have kept him. But it gave them money to be able to take Destro and others. But whatever. I am not a Roma fan. SO it makes no difference to me. I just wish he could have stayed at Roma or went somewhere else in Italia.

For the record as a Roma fan, I wanted to keep him. Having said that why should I concern myself with helping another Serie A club? I'm pretty sure Roma went with the biggest offer, which is exactly what they should have done.

He liked his time in england i think + once his old coach became head of Liverpool it made things easier in the end.

Moratti: 'Inter give up on Lucas'
    By Football Italia staff
    [IMG]
Massimo Moratti has confirmed Inter are pulling out of the race for Lucas Moura. “There are no regrets, as the €45m PSG offered are completely illogical.”
The San Paolo striker is at the centre of a bidding war between the Nerazzurri, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, though it has been reported today that the French side is way out in front.
“We would never have gone up to that sum,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia after a transfer summit in Milan this evening.
“In any case, there are no regrets that we didn’t finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago.
“The €45m that PSG offered are completely illogical and for us it would’ve been very out of key with our approach.
“PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I’m saving money...”

The league has become completely farcical, as bad as ever this season. It appears Juve will be helped in any way they can to maintain their unbeaten record. It is so corrupt its almost unbearable to watch anymore. Just like how the rest of Italy is run though. Its so obvious yet they don't give a $hit, I mean could they not even make the script look a little less suspect?

Their fake titles don't mean $hit to anyone other than the gimps that support them......As long as they win it makes them happy, its fills a hole in their lives, helps them get over their insecurities, because they want to feel attached to success to make their $hitty lives feel that little bit better....

Serie A would be a much better place if the whole truth was finally exposed, once and for all....

Ahh the annual shit on Juve week. Never mind the fact that suspect referring decisions also decided a couple other Serie A games this week, nope we'll ignore those because some people have an unhealthy infatuation with Juve.

What is farcical is the victim mentality that Serie A clubs and their tifosi continue to live with. Roma is the leader among that group as it should be a club with more honors. But go ahead and whine about something that does not exist. Let's not forget in Roma's last title how they were the beneficiaries of a major rule change in mid-season.

Juve's free kick was legit so quit whining about that. I do seem to recall Roma got a very soft penalty in that game too. A bit of shoulder to shoulder action brought the Roma player down quite easily.

every call goes in rube's favor...

fouls, free kicks, penalties ( most in the league by a large margin ), disallowed goals....it's a joke really. thankfully, your team can't cheat in europe.

I guess the referees figured that there is little need to give out gifts to Milan this season without Ibrahimovic to take the PK's.

You misunderstood my point, it was regards Udinese and the ref getting confused with the black and white strips as you brought up other poor decisions this weekend........Do you remember Chellini acting like a wild dog in that game? although he is allowed to get away with these antics every game...To date this season I have lost count how many decisions went your way, not only goals but all those little things, the rough tackles, free going your way. The whole world knows it and they laugh and mock at Serie A every weekend now, that is sad :(

As for the free kick being legit, I will not argue with an idiot. If he was practising for his audition in the next superman film that little rat has nailed it

what a bunch of losers LOL

u wanna beat JUVE beat us with playing FOOTBALL and scoring, instead of whine about a 50/50 call or something stupid. Everyone in football gets screwed at some point its not the first time...happens to every team, get over it or stop watching the sport.
