    A strong U21 team today:

Arsenal Under-21s v Reading: Shea, Sagna, Hajrovic, Miquel, Santos, Eisfeld, Coquelin, Wilshere, Frimpong, Gnabry, Akpom.

GOAL FOR ARSENAL! Gnabry fires in after a superb move involving Frimpong, Wilshere and Eisfeld (42) 1-0
That owed a lot to Frimpong who chased down a lost cause on the right, won the ball, passed to Wilshere who slipped it to Eisfeld who moved it on to the overlapping Gnabry, who cut back inside in the area and curled the ball into the far corner

GOAL FOR ARSENAL! Wilshere whips in the corner, Miquel flicks it on and Akpom heads it home from close range (59) 2-0

Sagna got 60mins before being taken off. Hopefully he is close to challanging for a place

Sorry - used to follow the youth sides, but what's the point? The vast majority of these lads will never even come close to the 1st team and will instead populate the lower leagues (if they're lucky).

London Colney. It's the town where our training ground is located.

Still, its fun to see who could potential make the move up. Obviously not everyone will make it but that is football. Not everyone is going to be great. The vast majority of our young guns will probably not even play a Carling Cup match.

    Arsenal U21 0-2 West Ham United U21.

So 2 games in and Arsenal still can not get a single victory in the under-21 Elite league. Early days but considering many factors like the players we put out you would think, on paper, that we would win.

Of course I am inclined to note that only 3 players actually retained their places in the squad after the West Brom U21 game earlier this month while the rest were either surprise starters or were players returning on loan (Chuks Aneke, Connor Henderson, Daniel Boateng).

From what I heard though it was Thomas Eisfeld who impressed everyone the most. I won't say how played as I have yet to see the match.

so he would speak his mind to Wenger about the X youth player?

the position seems like a step down for Bergkamp.

I agree. I can imagine Bergkamp shouting advice over a fence at the training ground.

Mr Arsenal has rarely been seen at Arsenal since he left. He didn't even show up for his on statue.
