I am not being aggressive, but you have this very negative tendency of posting a lot of opinions on topics that are not opinion focused. Just because everyone on here says the world says the world is flat doesnt mean the world is flat. It wasnt a question of style or preference, it was a question around what one poster believes is right, based on his "research", saying you shouldnt stretch after weighttraining/strength training, because it will cause further muscle damage. I asked the poster for a source, ie, where he got it from, who said that, and there was silence, and then you stepped in.
I dont know everything, and you dont know everything, and it is ok not to. For example, I dont use Micoach like you do, so I wouldnt get involved in an argument with you over the device.
However, it is not cool to continue to engage in lengthy arguments stating your opinions based on your subjective thoughts, when you are not sure, or dont have references, or expert opinion.

I'm not arguing with the first bit - it makes no sense and as you say.. Us two tend to get into quite a few lengthy discussions.

That link is not 'expert opinion' though. I'm asking you to find me information on whether or not you should stretch after WEIGHT TRAINING, not exercise. Exercise is fine because as I've already said.. Your muscle fibres are not torn during exercise, but instead strained. That I know for a fact.

Weight training tears your muscle fibres (micro-tears I believe they're called) and so stretching on principle, would not seem appropriate. I still do stretch afterwards, not sure why.. But I like to.

    LMAO

The link I provided is not expert enough? I dont think you know who Mark Verstegen, I recommend you read one of his books, and do some research on him. He gets paid massive amounts to train elite athletes, where results count.

This is the reason why we get into endless streams of arguments! You spent a few posts defending not having to stretch after weight training, YET YOU STRETCH OUT AFTER LIFTING, BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHY......

When you play games especially at fullback with your attacking style, I know for a fact, you get DOMS after your games, yet you are trying to seperate "exercise" from weight training/strengthtraining. I know for a fact that you get sore, because we know you perform very violent eccentric movements during your play in games. Perhaps, that might be a different thread all together.

I read your links, and it tells me how muscles grow, and explains the mechanism for DOMS; however it doesnt say anything about stretching or not after strength training.

I provided you with you a link from someone, who has been training elite athletes for more 20 years, and has a lot of practical real life application of the latest scientific research, and you tell me you the link is not expert in enough.

Like I said, we dont have to know everything, but if you dont know what you are talking about, stop arguing!!!

Ok, so there are some confusions here and some lack of info from my side. I'm gonna post here either later this week or like Monday. I'm working this week and weekend, so I'm not sure that I'll be able to find the time (this week). As for right now, I really need to go to bed.

    Until then, calm down.
